Our Growing Family....

Easter Sunday

After church we took the kids................

to pick up the new member of our family!
Isn't she cute???? 7wk old Golden.

I guess I didn't think I had enough sleepless nights, poop to clean up,and another immunization record to keep track of.
But she sure is cute:)
My kids are in lovvvvvvvve!
Were still working on a name for her.....any ideas???

I know most of you are more shocked that I got a dog than me being pregnant again! haha.... and the fact that I got up to hold her at 2am because I felt sorry for her is even more shocking. (She misses her mommy)
She was still breast feeding yesterday and we took her from her mommy...how sad, I felt so bad for her....
Most of you that know me know that I am not a dog lover. I do like dogs but not to that extent to get up and (rock) the dog.....but she sure is melting my heart. I might even let her up on my bed......Maybe after a bath and nice smelling dog perfume.

Oh Bridget, you could not have picked a better breed! I am partial to Golden Retrievers, they are soooo good w/ kids and the most amazing animals. That's all I had growing up. I had one named "Nugget". :) I miss her so much, the pictures welled my eyes because it brought back memories.

She will be so good to your kids.

My love for kids somehow overcame my lack of love for dogs. :) Now I am so thankful...we all love our little pup. :) Enjoy your dog days.

They are almost as much work as a kid. Well at least when they are puppies. I am still going through Cash chewing on everything! Although Boxers are hyper dogs. She is adorable! Now instead of a playdate with the kids we can all meet at the dog beach. haha JK

Growing up I had a golden named Cindy (short for Cinderella). Now MY kids have one named Linus. Goldens are such great dogs for kids. As far as names go I have no idea what to tell you. Maybe let each kid throw on into the ring and draw from a hat.

Awwww.....SO cute! My kids all looked at the pictures and said her name should be "Rosebud." It's the name of one of the Golden puppies on "Airbuddies." Happy house training!!!

Oh, so so cute. I had to laugh this morning when I read your post. As I was sitting at the computer reading, my kids were eating breakfast, and I was looking over in my mud room, where my two labs sleep at night and I almost took a picture for you... Apparently, Bailey my 120 lb. baby got into some Easter candy, and had the runs ALL OVER THE ROOM - walls and all. Oh the joys of dogs:) I do love my two furry babies, but oh the amount of poop... thank God you've got some big kids who can take that chore on:) Good luck

Bridget,
Congrats on the new addition to the family! My parents had 2 female goldens while I was growing up, Sadie & Allie. They've since passed and Mom & Dad now have 2 male goldens, Tucker & Riley. I know that she will love being in your wonderful family. Goldens are the best! How about:
Lucy
Abby
Maizy
Daisy
(I like names that end with a long "e" sound!)
