Today I woke up feeling quite adventures. I ditched the mountains of laundry on my couch and headed up to Big Bear with the kids...
First we stopped at the Big Bear Discovery Center. We each made these bracelets out of "fake" Sinew.(A thread made from buffalo tendons.)ewwwww! (the boys thought it was cool)
(even Finley has one)
My tuff boys who insisted cutting off the sleeves to their shirts before we left...
we walked around the museum for a little bit (I just noticed that Landen is picking the bears nose and Farrah is poking his eye..nice)
This mountain man was so cool, he talked to us for awhile and taught the kids a lot about Indians and history.
Farrah found a friend....
Bird watching...
We hung out down by the lake....
skipping rocks...
Landen discovered that his voice could echo...
The girls...
we all look like rag muffins but hey we were ruffin it in the mountains:)
Farrah looks like she was eating dirt, who knows she probably was...
We all had such a fun time! Lately whenever we go somewhere we do the "buddy" system. Austin and Landen buddy up and Faith and Farrah buddy up that way it helps me keep track of everyone. I usually carry Finley in a carrier so I can have my hands free to help with the little ones. I really wanted to go canoeing but I figured that may be pushing it....I guess we will have to go back with Daddy:)
And if you haven't already voted for my herd Please, please, please for the kids sake:)
We went from 13th to 7th place today. We currently have 149 votes. We at least need to make it in the top 5 to be a finalist that includes (great prizes) but of course we are shooting for 1st!!!!!!
It only takes a second...p-l-e-a-s-e (with a hundred cherries on top)~Landen

I love the Big Bear Discovery Ctr. My parents have a cabin up there so we're there all the time. Okay, I voted for you guys, good luck.
Been there when it is winter. Much different in the Summer. I did not know they even had a lake and all that. duh! Maybe we will visit it again one day (BIL lives in CA). Great pics and you all never look like ragamuffins! I love the buddy system and I know the older the older ones get the better it is going to work. Gives me hope, because it is so hard to drag the littles around without some assistance.
I hope to be a cool mom like you! Your kids are very blessed! I voted for your heard! I hope they win!
Looks like you guys had a great time. It's good to break away from that laundry and do something fun and adventurous with the kids every once and awhile:)
