Proud Mommy Moment....What's Yours?

I loved seeing Evan Lysecek win the gold medal in the Olympics for Men's figure skating. Those that know me know I LOVEEEEEEE figure skating and follow it as best I can. It was the first gold for the USA in men's figure skating since 1988! (I was 8 years old, dreaming of being in the Olympics one day myself.)

My favorite moment of the night Evan won... His Mama crying during the medal ceremony! What a proud moment for her! What is your favorite "proud mommy" moment?

One of my most recent proud mommy moments happened Friday night at the Safe Haven shelter for homeless families...
Landen preaching his little heart out...I didn't hear all he said, I wasn't around but was told by others that heard.

Here is the email I received from Safe Haven yesterday:

Bridget!

Thank you so much for your willingness to help us! I absolutely LOVED meeting each and everyone in your family. I am so energized by your family and their servant hearts. My favorite memory of the night was Landon ministering to one of our moms. Honestly, she’s going through a lot and I think it was amazing how he could pick her out and share a bit with her. It was AWESOME!

Again, thank you all for coming and visiting with us. Please keep in touch. I would love to follow the rest of your journey. I know you all are a family that I will NEVER forget!

In Christian Love,

Stefanie

So, what's your proud mommy moment? Please share....

Wow that gave me some tears! What an awesome boy!
This is a small one but my 2 year old says thank you without prompting, and that warms my heart!

Hi Bridget, with four kids I have a few as well, but most recent, my kids want me to buy food for the hungry standing at the freeway exits....when we see them they ask..."can we buy them food" and they all want to hand them the food....it gets pricy but it's worth it....and they prefer I buy burritoes like from Del Taco, (it is easy to finish later if they want and it will still taste good, says my youngest Christopher)....sweet!

Still loving your blog....
My proudest mommy moment, was this past fall when my 2 oldest (8 & 5) told me that they wanted to be obedient to Jesus and be baptized. Our church gathered at the beach for the baptism and their daddy was able to baptize them. God is so good! I look forward to the day that my 2 youngest (3 & 4) make the same decision.
