There is only 1 reason I would set my alarm to go off at 6AM on a Saturday morning......

And that's to hit the 20th Annual Balboa Island "All In The Alley's" Garage Sale!!!

I dragged my husband and kids out of bed, didn't even take time to make a cup of coffee...but that's ok the garage sale was sponsored by Starbucks Coffee.
They were giving away FREE coffee.

This wasn't just any garage sale...

this was over 300 garage sales in one place. Not to mention the homes having them were 5million dollar + homes.....

There was a lot of people there and parking was hard......but I was on a mission so I took out some white paint and painted the red curb...
Not really, but we took the chance and parked there anyway. Does it look red or white to you?

We stopped on the first alley and Landen found this hat...."Please, Mommy!"
For 50cents we grabbed it and were on our way to hundreds of more alley's....
Watch out.... Mad mom on a mission. Loaded the two lil girls in the stroller and threw Landen on top of the stroller and rannnnnnn to the next alley (I'm not white trash, I just use my double stroller as a triple stroller, live in an RV and shop at garage sales) you know....but million dollar garages sales I might add:)
You know when you see Juicy clothes with tags still on it for $1 you didn't wake up early for nothing!
I scored! I got TONS of things! Cute PediPed sandals for Farrah just .50cents! Lots of school books and much, much, much more!
In fact on Sunday we sported our findings around the Island..........

I must admit he does look cute in his lil .50cent cowboy hat!

and Farrah just had to have these glasses...they were for sale for a dollar but the lady thought she was so cute she just gave them to her. She also threw in a purse to go with them. So fashion! Shhh...we won't tell anyone you got them in an alley!

hanging out on the boardwalk after lunch...
why does Landen (always) look like he's up to something??
yep, I knew it....

I just love this dress from GAP, $1.00!!!!! never worn!

This dress Finley's wearing is from Tiny Bubbles. Price tag said $38.00. I stole it for $1.00!!!!
High heels .50cents! thankyouverymuch!

Most of the garage sales were raising money for charities or missions...
and we were more than happy...... to help! I have never had so much fun digging through other peoples junk!
I mean outfits for $1.00
We spent about 6 hours shopping.....
The only thing we didn't find that we were looking for was another Kayak...
2 Kayaks for 7 people LOL....I think we could use another one or two or three....
So, who wants to go dumpster diving in the alleys for Gucci and Botkier handbags with me next year?

Love all your great finds. White trash? I don't know ... getting pretty close. But, I have NEVER seen such a beautiful white trash family. So. Sorry. You don't qualify.

Hugs!

Now that looks like fun! What great finds you found. I will have to drag my husband and kids up sometime to go there. How did you find out about it? We LOVE Balboa. We always have a good time there.
... and let me guess? You got a GOOD workout paddling that Kayak with 3 kids on board. I get a good workout with just myself. Super mama!

You Just might have to actually pull me away from a sale like that, actually you would have to call the island security. That had to have been the BEST PLACE EVER TO GARAGE SALE AT!! Phew!

Great purchases! You've inspired me to head over to our neighboring community's garage sale this weekend. You never know what cool stuff you might find!!
