Happy Birthday Maggie, Goodbye Yogi.....

Happy 1st Birthday Maggie Mae!

I can't believe I celebrated our dogs birthday and am now blogging about it.

I've never been a dog lover, but I admit over this last year Maggie's grown on me.

She's a sweet dog!

Celebrating Maggie's 1st birthday was at the top of Faith's list. It was important to her, so I did the best I could in making it "special."

And what do you know, there was a dog park down the street from where we were staying called "Maggie's Bark Park"

Perfect! ha!

Faith was more than excited and thought it was a perfect spot to spend Maggie's 1st bday.

We bought Maggie a nice bone and made cupcakes for us:)

We explored a little more of Nashville...

this was the historical timeline... dating back to Billions
(that's me being sarcastic and rolling my eyes) of years.

We wanted to end our trip to Nashville by visiting Fort Nashborough. Nashville's roots! It all started here, a simple log structure built in 1779. Where the first settlers came, this fort was intended to be shelter and protection for those pioneers.

We enjoyed calling Nashville our "home" for the last month.
But it's time to go, we have more country to see and explore.
So long Yogi, so long Jellystone.

Like you, I've never been a dog person and thought I just couldn't stand dogs. Until we got ours a few months before we went on the road. He's so much fun and we're so thankful that the Lord gave us such a wonderful dog- he's adapted perfectly to our traveling lifestyle! Glad to hear that you are able to take your dog on all your adventures too!:)
