Flashback Friday

This is Faith at 15 months old.(who had just woken up from a nap)
Finley is now 15 months old. I can't believe how much they look alike. I didn't realize until I was looking back at some pictures.
(all my kids look like Daddy I think) except Landen, I think he looks a little like me.

Faith has grown into such a sweet girl. Always thinking of others.

Remember Maria our maid? We are communicating a little better:) She told me the other day she is the youngest of 18! Her mother gave birth to 9boys and 9girls! God Bless that women!

In other news my lil sis left late last night and is on her way to Jamaica to get married!
We weren't able to go after all:(
I am SO sad I can't be there for her and to stand by her side on her wedding day.

But she knows I love her and would be there if I could. She is having a big reception next Saturday. I better get to writing my speech. I LOVE MY SIS but there are two things in life I HATE doing...
1. Going to the dentist
2. Public speaking

I'd rather give birth to 18 children !
Please pray for me! I already made a fool of myself at my sister Brianna's wedding. Do I really need to do it again???

Hi I have been reading your blog for a while now and while I don't always agree with everything I just want to tell you that it is absolutely clear that you are a loving and nuturing mother to your children and that your family is strong and happy. Please don't allow any negative comments upset you because you are just sharing your opinions and beliefs; and that is what the world and communication should be about. I wish you all the best on your road trip! I'm a bit jealous actually because you are going to have such awesome memories!

After seeing the link to the UK student room I felt compelled to write here.

I was the original poster who started that thread. I offer my apologies now, but I took offence at what you wrote and reacted irrationally. I deeply stand against abortion, but I take the contraceptive pill, and when you wrote that you saw that as abortion it angered me. Abortion is an act I would never commit, and I felt that those who take the pill were being judged as murderers. I apologise again. I got angry and the things on your blog that I don't agree with suddenly incensed me. I abhor creationism, as a scientist I believe in evolution, but that a great creator started the process off. But that's your personal decision and I know that, even though I'll admit it frustrates me a bit. I love science and when what you say contradicts what I know it does make me sigh a bit.

But this is the important part, I know that is your choice and your set of values and beliefs and I respect that, honestly. I'm extremely sorry for any hurt I caused you. I believe that you a good person right to the core, you're a fantastic mum, wife and christian. I love seeing the pictures of your kids and hearing the stories (it makes me broody!) and I greatly enjoy reading your blog most of the time. I'm sorry for offending you, I didn't mean it, I regret posting that now. Homeschooling is a great thing incidentally, I don't judge you for that. If I hadn't got into such I great school I was going to be homeschooled myself!

Ignore ignorant people like me who aren't as good as you. Keep up the good work blogging.

I was so nervous at my mom's wedding last year, she asked me to do the opening prayer at the reception. I was not only representing myself but CHRIST!! I was so SCARED! But I prayed over and over that God would speak. He did. IT was all Him. I even had my mom's friend, a practicing muslim, come up to me and say "I convert! I convert!, no but really Valerie, that was wonderful". He wasn't serious about converting, but he was serious about being touched by the prayed. Now THAT was God. Just hand it all over to Him girl. He is faithful.

Phoebe,
Apologies Accepted! Thank you for your sweet comment. I know my readers don't always agree with me and I don't expect them to. I post what I believe and share what knowledge I have found to be true. I am sorry I came off that way. I just have done research and have taken classes about the pill. I challenge my readers to do their own research on the pill and other things I talk about. Just wondering if you are a Christian? I know you said you believe in a Creator. I may not be a scientist but I do study the Bible and read TONS of books on evolution too. I LOVE to look at evolution vs. creation. I am actually working on a post and would love to hear your view on it as a scientist if you don't mind. Being that evolution is just a theory I find it to frustrate me a bit too. I love science too, but anything that contradicts the bible makes me sigh. Thank you again for you comment! Blessings~Bridget

Sorry to hear about all the hate mail you have been getting. SO HORRIBLE!!! Yes, a tougher skin is necessary and even though Im a new reader, I can tell you would never judge or condemn. You sound sweet and love your children. Why do they feel the need to be nasty and judge?? Why read the blog then? Obviously something keeps pulling them back. No need to make excuses for your beliefs....

Hey thank you for your kindness :) I'm undecided towards religion personally, though because my flatmate is a christian I'm always tied up in christian union events :)

I would be happy to discuss anything with you, fantasystar38@hotmail.com is the best address for me if you want it.

Oooh and I saw a programme and thought of you, not sure if you'll be able to see it in the us though.
