We are leaving.........

Monday. Like in 4 days Monday.....(someone pinch me)

We have been busy doing so much before we leave...but the hardest is the goodbyes.

my emotions are going up and down....

(we met with the cousins for some fun before we leave)

it's going to be crazy...

but tons of fun too......

I can't wait....

but with the Holidays coming....

it's making it even harder.....

Tomorrow we are having a going away party. To be honest I didn't want one because I hate goodbyes...but I'm trying to look at it as a bunch of well wishes and lot’s of prayers coming our way……not goodbye!

I will be blogging our journey....So hang on and enjoy the ride!

Enjoy seeing America through our eyes....

We are going to miss our friends and family SO much! As exciting as this is for us, I can't help but be over come with the sadness of leaving. We are thankful to all of you who are praying for us. We know this may not be a dream you can understand but this is something we only dreamed about. Never thought it would actually happen. For God to place it on both my husband and my heart at the same time. We know it was God. God has opened such an incredible door for us. We thought maybe we would take this path when we retired (someday) but are excited to be taking it (now)with our children. They grow so fast and we want to make the most of this season. We will be back soon(July) Lord willing and will have tons of wonderful memories to share with you. I am excited to be US missionaries;) But worried of the "what ifs." I guess "what ifs" are here at home too. None of us are guaranteed anything right? I know God has some awesome things planned for us... I pray we can shine our light of God's love and His Greatness throughout the United States.
We are totally trusting in Him...

p.s. Please pray for me, this will be my first Thanksgiving cooking a Turkey (actually pray for my family who has to eat it)
They sure are going to miss their Grandma's cooking;(

So the adventure begins... Yayyy! How exciting! It's going to be so much fun to read about it! I hope you all have a blast... A BLAST!! Best wishes from my family to yours. May you all have a safe trip and come back with the most AMAZING memories ever!

Let me just say this... turkeys are intimidating because people make it seem so hard. First, thaw it... which takes many hours. AFTER that just bake that thing like you would a chicken... a giant chicken. Cover it with foil or use a roasting pan t prevent drying out. It's just a big bird and as long as it is not raw or frozen solid... or burned up you should be fine. You can do it!!

Enjoy your time on the road! So excited for you all!

I think your trip sounds WONDERFUL and AMAZING! We have LOVED our cross country road trips, even though we can only get away for 3-5 weeks at a time.

Keep focused on HIM and HE will lead and guide you.

It's a huge step of FAITH, just as our move to our little island is. But, God has a huge plan to go along with it.

Can't wait to hear all about your travels and your ministry. Let us know when you'll be heading up to the Pacific NW.

PS: travel tip ... KOA campgrounds are more expensive, but they are WONDERFUL. And ... they usually have wi-fi, which can't be found at many other campgrounds. Wi-fi is essential for any true bloggy friend, since all of us will be waiting to hear from you. :)

Yeah!! I know it will be exciting. My husband and I have talked about the same thing, but just don't see it right now. As for the turkey, well I had the same prayer. (for my family who will eat it) Have fun. Can't wait to follow.

My son Ben (16) thinks it's way cool that your boys are wearing NOTW hats. He orders from them OFTEN, and was very excited to go to an NOTW store when we were in So. CA.

Oh yea ... my whole family reads your blog.

Oh I know goodbyes are hard, but you guys are going to be making such great memories!! I've had to say too many goodbyes than I'd like to count, I know it is hard :( I am so happy for you guys and can't wait to read all about your adventures and I hope we'll see you this next week in TX!!

And be happy (not that you aren't)that your family loves you enough and will miss you enough to have a goodbye party for you. Once I told my best friend here that I was moving she stopped talking to me. After 3 and a half years I'll leave here with no one to miss me, which is pretty sad :( I wish you guys all the best and will be praying for safe travels for you all <3

So excited to read your adventures! We just upgraded our motorhome and I'm anxious to see where the Lord takes us with my husband's job. For the first time in my life I'm surrendering to God's plan for us--not so focused on all the details of my plans--you continue to inspire me!

I have only recently found your blog and would love to read more about the adventure you are embarking upon. I clicked on the Families on the Road button and so I understand the concept but would love to hear more about your family in particular. This is amazing. I can't imagine doing it, but amazing still.
