Stuff

We have a lot of stuff!

a lot of matching stuff....

and a lot of just in case stuff. Like rain boots in summer and other stuff we might need one day.
Speaking of stuff...does anyone have a place for me to stay? I have a feeling that after my husbands sees what I spent at Target for a bunch of stuff I might need a place to go...

I'm kidding..sort of

I mostly bought bins to store all our stuff

but I did happen to buy some other stuff

like these....

How could I pass up these little shoes for Finley with ice skates on them? Anyone that knows me knows I love ice skating and anything with ice skates on them:) I have a bunch of ice skating stuff too...

I am trying to get rid of a lot of our stuff and start packing the rest up.

I thought by the 10th move I would be organized and have it down by now, but I still haven't got the hang of it. There is no easy way around moving. Especially with lots of kids and lots of stuff.

I am really trying to keep a positive attitude while packing all our stuff but it's hard.

My whole moving attitude is just burn the house down with all our stuff in it and start over.
Despite all the stressure I'm under (that's right stress and pressure put together) I have to put on a positive mental attitude for the kids ....you know a moving-is-fun kind of attitude. Whooo hooo...packing is fun. See, I'm trying!

I let the kids decorate their own bins and color boxes...

The kids feed off my energy and if I'm nervous … or wearing that stressure front and center, the kids will too. Because you and I know (of course I know I've done this how many times???)moving is a process which takes along time from the packing, the house hunting ,the moving, the getting settled in and so on...... getting the positive attitude about the move, especially early on in the process, is key and I know that.

I am trying to really put a positive spin on this move.

While in the attic packing up some stuff in there, Faith found my wedding dress....

She thinks it is gorgeous and just loves it. She promises to wear it on her wedding day...yes, I have that in writing haha!

You know the expression, "Be happy where you are on the way to where you're going?" If your always looking to the future with longing, you will miss the good stuff going on right now. I have to find the right balance. It's like my kids at Christmas opening up all their stuff. They get so many presents that they can't enjoy the ones they are opening or already opened because they are focused on opening the next gift. They would hardly look at those nice roller skates they received before they were on to the next package. It's not until all the presents are unwrapped that they could actually enjoy the blessing of all the stuff they had been given.

There is always going to be something going on in our lives and I don't want to keep looking for the next present to unwrap. I don't want to miss out on enjoying the blessings all around me. Sometimes it's hard to find the "gift" in all of this but I know every moment should be treasured even when I'm stressured.

Hey I'm serious when I say I am here to help (packing, kid entertainment, an ear to unload some of that stressure on). I'll even take some of the kids for a while. Oh yeah and pass the "stuff" you don't want my way; I like the style of your "stuff."

Love this post. I really needed to hear this. We are going thru a move right now...bought a house and 4 days after we got the keys a HUGE 40+ year old oak tree fell on it!! Everyone is okay and the damage is mainly to a corner of the house, breezeway and garage, but it is so easy to get caught up in the stressure of it all and leave the kids struggling with everything they are going thru, on their own. So....thanks for sharing, because it helped open my eyes. I will pray that everything goes well with your latest "adventure!"

Hello-
I just wanted to let you know that I ordered you and your family pizza for tonight. If we lived closer, I would do more. But maybe this pizza will ease your stress for at least one night of not having to cook whilst packing up a house to move!
Blessings, and we are praying for you!

Honestly the hassle of moving is the reason we cancelled our last two plans to move.

I LOVE the matching outfits! I would love to have some that match for all my girls when the baby is born.

I know how stressful moving is, and I can't imagine having to do all of it with 5 kids! I hope everything goes smoothly for you. Have you guys found a new house yet?

hee hee, well you can come stay with me...if you don't mind helping change 3 diapers...LOL (we need all the help we can get hahaha). Hey if you need some help storing the "stuff" that girls don't need anymore, send it on over. I love girlie clothes especially shoes. Our girls don't have too much yet :). Hope the packing process is a smooth process for you. I'm sending you a hugg friend.

Over the past few days, I moved two teenage girls and ALL of their stuff into a dorm room and an apartment. I am exhausted! You must be too! It is amazing how much stuff we accumulate and collect.

God bless you and all of your stuff!

Thanks for the positive outlook on everything in your blog... the words about having faith and really trusting Him are exactly what I needed to hear right now. I hope everything turns out great with your move. I am sure wherever this adventure may lead it will be full of love and happiness for you.
