I've been really praying about what God is doing in our lives and sometimes I feel like I'm not doing enough. I just live day in and day out. Life is busy and yes, I try to be a good wife and a good mom but is that enough? I feel like I have more to give to further His kingdom. I heard this song and I thought I'd share it with you. It's how I feel. Life goes by SO fast and I want to make the most of it for HIM! I know he has a mission for each of us, I just feel like I get so wrapped up in my busy life that I'm not really living sold out for Jesus.
Do you ever feel like this?
I love this song and I thought it went perfect with my blog title:)
You put me here for a reason
You have a mission for me
You knew my name and You called it
Long before I learned to breathe
Sometimes I feel disappointed
By the way I spend my time
How can I further Your kingdom
When I'm so wrapped up in mine
In a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye
And though I'm living a good life
Can my life be something great?
I have to answer the question
Before it's too late
Cause in a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye
If I give the very best of me
That becomes my legacy
So tell me what am I waiting for?
What am I waiting for?
In a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
In a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye

I feel like this all the time, and also feel like I am fighting the devil whose on one shoulder and the angel on the other...the angel hopefully (in God's eye's) wins, which I strive for..but so many times during the day I shue him off my shoulder....
Your a great example to all of us Bridget and Jesus is smiling down upon you, I just know it!
Marie
oh by the way..love the new look!
I hear you! I'm constantly trying to figure out how to balance everything and focus more time on giving back and being compassionate. So important to teach my kids, yet so trying at times. I love the songs you share--I'm always looking for good music for the car rides--music that praises instead of all the other stuff.
I've been thinkin a lot about this lately. I need to do more. I like your new look BTW.
I love that song! and yes, i feel like this at times. but then the Lord reminds me that our children are our first mission field. You are such an amazing woman. And let me tell you...you certainly seem sold out for the Lord!!!
The Lord has blessed you with 5 beautiful babies and a wonderful husband. You are where the Lord has placed you, right in the center of their lives. To share the wonders of His love with them. He alone sees your heart and will reward you for being faithful in what He calls you to do. You serve Him everyday as you minister to His babies. He will continue to direct your path as you seek Him first. He sees your desires and He knows all that you long to do for Him. He wants you to rest in knowing that He will strengthen you fulfill all that He calls you to do. He will make you lie down in green pastures, and lead you beside still waters. His goodness and kindness, and mercy will follow you all the days of your life. He who began the good work in you will continue it until the day He comes. You will hear Him say " Enter in thou good and faithful servant" I am proud of you. Love you, Mom
I stumbled accross your blog recently and have added yours as a favorite on mine as I find you both interesting and inspiring. I know just how you feel as my heart has been in a very similiar place recently. You seem to be right where the Lord would want you with your priorities though. And who knows who you might be raising right now and what their role might be in His kingdom some day?? My kids are all raised now, and my youngest son is a minister for a large Calvary Chapel down in San Diego...and who would have ever thought it, haha....If you ever get the chance visit my scripture blog and please jump right in and comment with what you might think on any of it. I am wanting to get as many hearts involved in that as I can to see what the Lord might teach us all. Blessings to you..Debbie
