Foot In Mouth Disease

My mouth filter has been going out and and hasn't been working that well. You know the filter that keeps you from saying the things you are thinking. I say whatever is on my mind. I seem to suffer from what I call "foot in mouth" disease. Like when my sister asked me if I liked a certain wedding invitation I just ran my mouth off at how ugly I thought they were. How mean! I was just saying what I was thinking instead of thinking how I might be hurting her feelings.

Not to long ago while out shopping I asked a lady when her baby was due and she not so nicely informed me that she wasn't pregnant. OUCH! See what I mean about my mouth filter? It seems to be broken lately! From now on unless a lady is wearing a "Baby on Board" t-shirt, I will never ask that question again! Sometimes I say things without thinking. I don't mean to say them, they just come out before I can retrieve them. I am going to try and keep my mouth shut today!

Dear God, please fix my filter! Help me say only uplifting, encouraging and wise words! Amen!

I think my filter is permanently broken. I really need to teach myself to think before I speak.

Just remember you're not the only one who has done that. I've heard many stories like that! :)

Ooh yikes...Im' guilty of asking a woman that same question. And just like you...learned my lesson and have never asked the question again. And then you know "what goes around comes around?" Well I had a woman ask me that same question while I was at the hospital going to see the babies in the NICU. She felt horrible and I tried to not make her feel bad. I figure me having triplets, Im' going to STILL look preggo for awhile. :( Anyway, totally feeling your "disease".
