Yesterday we got out paints and stamps and decorated some papers. Then we wrote letters and rolled them up and put them in a bottle.
A message in a bottle is something the kids and I have wanted to do for awhile. I'm sure once we threw it off the pier it washed up to shore an hour later.ha!
But, we are hoping it travels far, far away and someone in another country finds it! hahaha...hey maybe, just maybe it will happen. It could happen!!!!
After dinner we all went out to wish our bottle happy travels.......
We left the date, and email in hopes someone will find it....We'll let you know. Don't hold your breath:) The kids have high hopes. In fact this morning they woke up saying, "Mommy, hurry check you email to see if someone found it."
The kids put a little bit of sand and some pretty shells inside to make it pretty:)
It doesn't take much effort to make big memories with the kids. I love making memories with them that they will remember forever!
Some other fun summer memories we have made together were:
Have races down a steep grassy hill........
Some of my kids favorites were when we had a Ice Cream tasting contest , took them to the Drive-in movies in their PJ's , have our annual Ice Cream party and of course our annual Lemonade sale .
So what's on your list of fun things to do with your kids this summer?

you are such a wonderful mom!
You'll get an email alright. Probably from the city of newport beach for littering. haha jk. Sounds fun. Can't wait to see if someone finds it :)
We went to Port Aransas beach near Corpus Christi last week (Ryder's first beach trip) and they had a blast! Other things this summer include season pass to SeaWorld (this one has a water park in it!) a trip to OKC, trip home to Cali for Beth's wedding and Disneyland while we're there, a visit up to Austin, hopefully a camping trip to Guadalupe River, TX, a trip to Port Bolivar Beach in Galveston, TX, along with Schlitterbahn Waterpark (also in Galveston) a month long visit from Grandma, and a new baby sister! Lol! We could really use an RV!!
I bet my kids would love the letter in a bottle! Maybe we'll have to "steal" your idea and make some before our next trek out to a beach!
Can't wait for you to get back on the road so I can live vicariously through you! We miss you guys! Love to all!
