More Than An Excuse To Wear Green

You won't need much luck (maybe some prayers) to make St. Patrick's day a fun day for your kids.
I like to start the morning off with the kids waking up to some Lucky Charms sprinkled down the hallway to the front door (or wherever you want). I also like to pretend that we had a leprechaun pay us a visit during the night. I like to have a (pot of gold)hidden somewhere. One year I used those chocolate gold foil covered candies. I couldn't find them this year so I think I'll use lots of pennies. I hope that will do the trick. I also like to serve my kids a green breakfast. Green pancakes or green eggs yum! It's amazing what a little green food coloring can do. Without them looking I drop a few drop of food coloring in clear glasses and then pour milk when the kids see the green swirls I definitely get their attention. Cool Mom! One year I made the whole gallon of milk green (proof that we had an Irish visitor come while they were sleeping) Another fun thing is to do is dye white carnations. Put them in a vase with a few drops of green food coloring and by the end of the day they will be bright green. The kids love to see the flowers drink up the green water.




Of course with all the fun I make sure the kids know the true meaning of the holiday. We usually read the history of St. Patrick and how he used the shamrock leaf to illustrate the Trinity. (I plan to buy a pot of shamrocks at the grocery store this weekend) It will make for a good visual when teaching them.
We can have all the make believe fun we want but I don't want them to grow up thinking St. Patty's day is all about leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows, etc. It's like the Easter bunny we've gotten so far away from the original intention of celebrating. St. Patrick was a man of faith that brought so many people to the Lord. How is it that it is celebrated by getting drunk on green beer? Strange how that happens.

I'm glad my kids know that Saint Patrick's Day is more than an excuse to wear green, have fun searching for a pot of gold,eating green colored food and maybe some corned beef and cabbage (which they don't like anyway). We like to celebrate the Trinity, an opportunity to learn more about a great missionary, and a time to pray for missionaries who presently serve the Lord.

A Plan Not A Promise

One of our family motto's is , "It's a plan, not a promise." I never promise my kids I will take them somewhere because I know I can't break a promise and when you have 5kids you never know what will happen. So, when planning a field trip I always say we PLAN to go. That way if we go great, if not no big deal. We can always go another time. Today I had to cancel the field trip. We had some attitude problems and some cranky babies. I just wasn't feelin it. So our regular school day was back in motion. We start every day with bible. We were learning about John the baptist. I always tell the kids if they don't know a word I'm reading about to ask. Which brought us to the word circumcision. Which we all got on the topic of cutting a pee pee. You could imagine the questions my kids had. What a fun topic to explain. Needless to say our bible study got taken way off track. I then assigned some seat work for the older two (in which I was told was SO first grade)
As the kids did work and I tried to catch up on laundry but ran out of soap (darn, I was really sad) so I couldn't finish my past due mountain piles of dirty clothes. My husband doesn't understand why I couldn't just go to the store and get more. Men! Just what I want to do load them all up and go to the store just to get laundry soap so I can come home and do more laundry. I'd rather use the excuse that we ran out of soap and spend my time doing more important stuff like this:

The Riverside team was so excited that I brought the kids despite some onlookers shaking their heads at me for having all the kids out there holding signs. I believe that teaching your children to stand up for what's right is so important. Eyes are watching and learning from you...Get children involved in pro-life too. Also, I had the chance to meet Jen from the Valentine exchange who found out her 4 month old son is blind. She is such a strong and positive mommy. Saturday we volunteered together at the recording studio for the Blind and Dyslexic. It was a great experience and I look forward to helping out when I can. Go visit her and help with a donation and get a little gift for being so generous. Hurry you have just a few days.

I was also reminded that I never did the curriculum review, I PLAN to work on that this week. Notice I said PLAN haha!

Women Need Love Not Abortion....

Yesterday I stood outside the abortion clinic chamber on what marked the 14th day of the 40 days for Life campaign. (99 babies saved so far! Thank you Jesus!) It was also known as what the abortion industry callously calls "Abortion Provider Appreciation Day." I couldn't help but hold back tears behind my sunglasses as I watched the parking lot fill up with young girls and soccer mom's. I can't believe how cheaply human life is held. The doctor abortionist arrived around 7am surrounded by security. He does not drive himself but has a driver. They have several security guards working over time during the 40 days of Life campaign. I nicely would offer girls brochures as they walked in but was told to mind my own business many times. My heart breaks for them. I watched as the armored blood money truck pulled up to the back of the building. As they drove past us with their stone faces I thought "what a job." As it drove away I prayed for them. I prayed for the nurses as they walked to their cars on there lunch breaks. I made eye contact with one as I was holding Finley and smiled at her. I can't imagine what goes through their heads. How do these people (abortionist and everyone involved) sleep at night. I was up reading Sunday night just to refresh on things before I went out and minister to these women. I couldn't sleep. I prayed that conviction come over the abortionist either that or he catch the flu and have bad diarrhea and be unable to work.
I want to thank you for your prayers. 5 babies have been saved and 3 turn arounds (girls taking another day to think about it) that we know of from the Riverside Planned Parenthood I was at.




Keep praying get out there and take a stand at the 40 days for live no matter where you live there is more than 130 communities in the US, Canada, Australia and Northern Ireland that are hosting the 40 days for Life events through April 5th. Even just and hour of your time to show support. You can bring the kids. It is kid friendly. We do not yell we simply minister in love and pass out brochures. My kids even held signs (no descriptive signs or pictures of abortion.) The Riverside vigil coordinator took pictures and sent them to me last night. Also please continue to keep me in prayer as I was asked to possibly be the 40days of Life coordinator for Montclair for this fall.
Those that live in the area please join us this Sunday, March 15, from 2pm to 3pm. We will be having a Life Chain event for our rally and it will take place on Arlington Avenue, in front of Planned Parenthood in Riverside. We would love to have hundreds of people come out for this rally and line the entire block around Planned Parenthood. Please save this date and time and come out and join us!

Yesterday also marked the day President Obama has given the ok to destroy human life in the name of scientific research.

Embryonic stem cell research is immoral and ineffective. It is immoral because it destroys human life at its earliest stage of development by harvesting the stem cells for body parts. It is ineffective because it has yet to be used a single time in any therapeutic application.

Researchers must get their funding from taxpayers for embryonic stem cell research because they can't convince private sources to invest. Private investors know there are no proven uses for embryonic stem cells. It's all hype, hope and theory.

But adult stem cell research, on the other hand, is ethically benign and is already being used to treat over 70 diseases and conditions. If taxpayer dollars are going to be spent on stem cell research, that's where it ought to go.

By reversing funding restrictions on embryonic stem cell research, Pres. Obama is making every American taxpayer complicit in immoral, life destroying research. This is a terrible example of political ideology trumping sound science.

Science has proven that when an egg is fertilized your entire dna code is created. A SOUL is created! Your eye color, hair color, personality type, everything about you was decided at that very moment. People argue the fact that the ES cell could never mature therefore it is not abortion. We know that the embryo can not mature outside the womb. This is why I know it's not right to create babies to be used for scientific research. Then cover it up with well they won't survive anyway. ES stem cell can only be obtained by cutting open a 5 day embryo and removing HIS or HER stem cells from HIS or HER interior. This kills the little embryomic baby.

Please continue to pray. Pray that killing of the unborn can be made not only unlawful but for most people unthinkable! I pray to end abortion and embryo destructive research.

Now get out there and take a stand!

Weekend Recap

I can't believe it's Sunday night already!
Let's see Friday night our kids set up a restaurant and served us food and even cleaned everything up. They said it was there way of saying thank you for a fun trip to San Diego. How sweet! We even got a little note from Faith that read:

Dear Mom I (heart) you. I'm very happy that Jesus put me in this family. This is the best family ever seen! Oh I forgot dad. Dad you are the best dad ever seen too. I'm not kitting (kidding) ..(that will be a spelling word next week.) Heart Faith.

Saturday morning Faith had her first soccer game. She is on the "Black Widows" I'm sad to say I have no pictures of her first game:( I wasn't able to make her game but daddy video taped some of it for me.
Then it was out of the sweaty jersey and cleats and into a little dress and pearls for her violin recital.

Proud mommy! All that money, long drives to Diamond Bar every Monday, and hours of loud screechy practicing are paying off. I just love watching her play. She has the lean down and really gets into it when she's playing. It's so cute! Her playing sounded so beautiful.



Proud great grandparents. They brought faith freesia flowers. They smell so good. Faith felt very special.

She enjoys the arts,loves to draw ,make crafts and in her spare time she likes to create new fashions on her own sewing machine. Faith loves to attend church and is an active member of American Heritage Girls. She also plays on a soccer team. Faith loves animals and can't wait to own a dog of her own someday. Faith plans to have 10 children when she grows up and hopes they all play violin too! (I think she sounds like the next Michelle Duggar) I'm surprised she wants so many after watching me go crazy with half that every day. haha!

We ended the night with dinner at Shogun. If you ever want to sit and have a peaceful dinner with kids take them here. Our kids are always entertained or scared to death with the throwing of knifes and fire while they cook. They just sit there quite. We had a nice time.

This weekend basically revolved around Faith. Today she went to The Sally Ride Science Camp. in Pasadena. It was science for girls only! She took many different workshops including her favorite hands on veterinarians. All Hands on workshops were given by local scientists, engineers, chemists, veterinarians, microbiologists, and others. She came home with tons of little experiments she made and was excited to tell all of us of her adventure. Thank you Sarah for taking Faith:)

Let Me Ask You A Question....

Today I write to you with a heavy heart, and wanted to share. I know this blog is mostly for bragging on my kids but once in awhile I share what's on my heart. I am sickened with the way abortion is taken so lightly. Let me start out by saying I do hair out of my home and talk to many young girls every week. I am faced with hearing some stories that make my stomach turn. I have been put in postitions where girls I know are getting abortions.

I'm sure I will be losing some clients because I am not afraid to share. God is teaching me to step out of my little comfort zone and to get out there and be used.
I feel very strongly about abortion. I will not sway on my view.
Let me just start out by saying,my view on abortion is very clear and consistent. I believe life begins at conception. Therefore I believe that abortion is murder. Whether the baby is a “clump of cells” or close-to-term.

Politicians can craft all the “right to privacy” laws they want. Murder called by any other name is still repugnant in the eyes of God. Even some who call themselves pro-life just can’t seem to hold their position when it comes to rape and incest. (or stem cell)It’s OK to murder the baby if he was conceived during these acts. That’s what George Bush believes. For me, there is no exception, and I will maintain that position for the rest of my life.
There that said....
(I'm sure I'll get comments on this) What if you daughter was raped etc. (NOTE) only 1% of all abortions are related to rape or incest. What about the other millions of babies killed.


This nation is in a murderous cycle of violence that makes the Nazi Holocaust look mild by comparison. All this talk on ending the war but yet Nearly 2,000,000 babies are aborted a year in America. 4,000 a day!!Every third baby conceived now is being murdered. Among teenage women there are 736 abortions for every 1,000 births. Among married women abortions now exceed births! More babies are killed than are born. Some would tell us that there is an abortion about every 15 seconds in America.
My heart breaks!


I know many girls that have gotten abortions and talk to many girls who's friends get abortions like it's birth control (the talk I hear while I'm doing hair by h.s. girls) I hear the stories;(
Another one I've heard,"girls will just go back to using hangers and killing themselves." OH, and abortion's safe? Keep the excusing coming... I've even had a friend tell me that if her baby is deformed she would have to get an abortion because there is no way she can take care of him/her. So kill the precious baby? It's not our position to play God. Another friend/client had 2 kids and her and her husband weren't planning baby #3 so she aborted the baby. They wanted that perfect family a boy and a girl...and didn't want to except another one of God's blessings.
How can us Christians sit back and take this lightly? We need to get out there and speak for the speachless.
I will be at Planned Parenthood tomorrow taking part in the 40 Days for life Please keep me in your prayers. We will be taking a positive upbeat pro-life message in a peaceful way.
Pray for the girls considering abortions tomorrow and for the clinic workers that there hearts be changed.
For us Christians there is only the trying, the rest is God's business, not ours. Yet we are given to know that in trying, we fulfill God's commands and build up His Kingdom. My hands will be wiped clean.
Planned Parenthood has gone so far as to say, "This is nothing more than a means of preventing disease; (pregnancy being noted as a disease.") If you think that sounds farfetched, I will remind you of a paper by Dr. Willard Kates, from the Planned Parenthood Physicians Association. The title of the paper is, "Abortion as treatment for unwanted pregnancy: The second sexually transmitted disease." "

Pregnancy then is seen by Planned Parenthood as a sexually transmitted disease that needs to be cured by abortion. Planned Parenthood has somewhere approaching 1,000 abortion clinics doing somewhere approaching 75,000 murders a year. What I can't stand is that they are receiving millions of dollars of support from the U. S. Government and the United Way, and other agencies like that. Our nation, and other nations in the world are frankly wiping out an entire generation of human beings in mass infanticide.

It is estimated that perhaps as many as 75,000,000 babies will be murdered this year around the world—75,000,000!!!!
That's more than all the deaths in all the wars!!!! In all the history of the world!! This kind of murder is shocking and what's more shocking is the processes of abortion.

Because abortion is legal in America, many have justified their choice. “If it’s legal, it can’t be wrong, right?”

We now have an entire generation of men and women who have never known abortion to be illegal; a generation of people who have never been broken over their sin of abortion.

As a result, the consequences of unconfessed sin weigh on their souls, yet they have never connected the dots as to why their hearts are heavy. No wonder we have millions of women who are struggling with depression, addictions, eating disorders,cutting and more.


Now let me ask you question:
When God asks you on Judgment Day what you believed during your lifetime about abortion, what will you tell him?
