Fair 2010

Well ,we made it through our first week of school.
The flu decided to visit us our first week as well.
Not good timing!
Thank God only my oldest and youngest caught it.
They both were all better by Friday.
Just in time for fried food and tea-cups.ha!
On our way to the fair!
Everyone wants to hold Mommy's hand:)

To celebrate a great first week of school and 100% spelling tests, I took the kids to the fair on Friday.

(the hottest day) or at least it seemed to be the hottest day!
They worked hard on 6 book reports each to earn tickets for rides.

After Austin poured a bottle of water over his head to try and cool off, he went to get his book reports checked. My Grandma came with us too. She enjoyed spending the day with us, minus the heat and Farrah's screaming tantrum in the parking lot! My students:)

Now kids, look straight into the sun and smile.

We walked around the school displays. We didn't enter this year, but next year the kids want to enter their road jackets. Maybe we can even enter some things from our garden (hoping we have a house by then, geesh!) with room for a garden!

Now time for some puking tea-cups!

Sad thing about these pictures is, I couldn't stop laughing at Landen. My poor Grandma was standing next to me so worried for him. ha!

It was pretty funny considering Landen dared Austin to try and make him puke...boys!

No one lost their lunch...

(why are my post always about puke, turds, poo etc???)....the life of a Mom, I guess!

We all had a great time at the fair.

Here's to a great school year!

We went to our State Fair yesterday. It was a 150 mile drive each way, but we had a GREAT time.

We can't afford to go on the rides, but we always enjoy the animals, the Draft Horse Show, the Hobby Hall, the Juggler Show, and our friends Fiddle Concert. Oh yea ... the kids enjoyed their cotton candy and lemonade, too.

Love ya!

Looks like a beautiful day at the fair. Since we have just finished our time working for the carnival for this season, am wondering what the prices were for the rides? What fair were you at? Also, so understand the boys challenging each other. We had dinner once at an all you can eat and the boys, 11, 13 and 18 had who could eat the most desserts ~ the 11 year old won ~ ate 13 desserts, plus the required one meat, one vegetable and one type of salad.
