Change!

A little bit too much change!
I guess the hairdresser and I had a big misunderstanding!
I wanted it to my shoulders...She must of thought I said ears....

It's just hair right?
Thank God my husband likes me with short hair.

I just want to thank all of you for your sweet comments about our up coming adventure! The emails and offers we have gotten are just amazing! I thank God for "meeting" so many wonderful people on this blog. I think I just about got a tour guide in every state now:) If you get a chance would you be so kind to leave a comment letting me know where you are from and one place your recommend us going in your home state. Please share!
p.s. I sent out all prizes from the giveaways before we moved into our cozy place. Please let me know if you haven't received your items.

Hey Bridget, I like the hair. It has a cool and trendy look to it. Anyway, I'm headed out of town for a week, but wanted to let you know I passed on a blog award to you. I've really been enjoying your blog!

I wish my hairdresser made mistakes that look like that. All of my bad haircuts look like I met up with a weed whacker. You are so adorable. Can't wait to see more pictures.

I live in NC. Are you headed all the way to the east coast?

I live in North Carolina. We have just recently taken a couple trips to the North Carolina Mountains. You could spend several days there. We love Boone, it's a great town. You also have Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Caverns. In Valle Cruse they have a great Mast General store with a candy shop and behind the store is a community park which is GREAT!!! It would def. be worth a stop! We also vacation every summer in Avon, Nc on the outerbanks!!! Hatteras is a very educational place. Great place as well!

Pennsylvania - Lancaster! There is so much to do there. Or Hershey, the sweetest town, it literally smells like chocolate! Have fun!

Although, don't you guys live in Cali? I'm thinking the opposite coast may bee too far?

But hey, if not, we are here!

Hi Bridget- I found your blog through Fun in the Sun. Your haircut looks great! I think going to get a haircut is always an unpredictable adventure, having had a few misunderstandings myself. If you are coming through Utah, I recommend Zion's National Park and Snow Canyon State Park in the St. George area!

Happy travels!

Well, it's not actually in my state but right near the border, it's the Creation Museum near Cincinnati. We just went and it is amazing! Such a learning experience. Plus there is so much to do for families in Cincy. I don't comment much but if you need more info just let me know.=)

I know I live in California, but I have spent a lot of time in Virginia. I know someone already recommended it, but Willamsburg is a must. If you go make sure to get a sandwich at The Cheese Shop.

Kristie said...

I posted stuff about our hometown before, but since my husband is a history teacher and we are big nerds, we like to go on "learning" vacations.

I second Colonial Williamsburg! I went there with my family when I was in 4th grade and then Justin and I moved there for a year and LOVED it.

Also, in Dearborn, MI, there is the Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village. It is REALLY neat- you could spend a long time thre.

Oh I love your hair too! That is a huge difference from shoulders to ears! But it looks great! I can't wait to see your face with it! =) I bet you look amazing! And it looks like it will be super easy to manage!

You have to come to Idaho. Come visit us! We're in Boise now. The whole state is AMAZINGLY beautiful ... we just spent a few days in north Idaho (wow) ... and it could be educational ... Lewis and Clark forged some of this territory (I think?!) (hee!)

Anyway ... I'm serious - we'd love to see your dear family! Let me know!

This is so fun! ;)

AND - your hair is AMAZING! Super cute!!

I love the hair. It was my hair style for years, now I have super long hair. Since that picture I am totally contemplating going back. :)
I live in Arkansas, and although I am a native Southern California gal, I have to say, this state is beautiful! I love it here. Northwest Arkansas is beautiful with nice looking town not too unlike southern Cal. I am near fort smith, and the Janet Huckabee Nature center is tons of fun for kids.

I live in Eastvale.Corona..which I know you have been there done that LOL..but have some suggestions for you.
Tennessee: Leiper Forge which is near Nashville and Franklin. Gorgeous!
Arkansas: The OZARKS!
Washington: The whole state is beautiful but the drive along the Columbia Gorge is to die for..also the Multammoth (Spelling?) Falls are magnificent.
California: yosemite and the whole Monterey area..
Just some ideas..Wish I could do the same with my boys but stinking resposibility always comes around and bites me in the booty!

you know we're gonna need more pics of the hair right?!!

I'm not from Utah but I would highly recommend going to Bryce Canyon and making it so you can drive in from the East to see how beautiful the Dixie National Forest is. Bryce Canyon would be an amazing science learning experience.

Do you think you will make it to CT? Seems like a small state, but we have the two biggest casinos in the country (a night out for you and the hubby, I'll babysit!), the Coast Guard Academy, Yale, LOTS of historical buildings/museums (Mark Twain House, Harriet Beecher Stowe House, Gillette's Castle) and the Wadsworth Atheneum (art museum). There's also Mystic and Mystic Pizza. CT is usually just a pit stop between Boston and New York, but there are hidden places here!

Good luck with everything! Update if you come this way :)

i'm in agreement with hollie!! need more pics of that cute do!! ;)

boston is the place to be, the beginning of all things american, so many fun things to do and learn around here and with your hslda card the "teachers" get into everything for free!! let me know if you make it this far east and you can pull up a piece of driveway ;)

Bridget,
We live in the Texas Panhandle right off I-40. We have several ranches around Palo Duro Canyon and would welcome you out to our place for some outdoor fun. The Big Texas steakhouse famous for the chance to win a free 40 oz steak (if eatin in 1 hr) is in our hometown, too. We also have a wonderful museum of the history of the great plains and the quarter horse museum, too. We'd love to have you so if you're coming our way (I-40) let me know.
