Trying To Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

I was determined to get my "to do list" finished by the time I had to pick Landen up from preschool today. (It's much easier running errands with him in school) So I had 20 minutes left of "Landen free time" then I had to go pick up the lil guy. I got everything done on my list except one thing, get the car washed. I have made a vow to myself that I would keep my new car clean. My old car was always full of crumbs and fingerprints and God knows what else. I didn't have time to go to the car wash so I went to one of those coin do it yourself car washes. LOL...I have never done one of those before. What a joke. Me in heels and a skirt trying to wash the car without slipping and racing against the clock (and screaming babies). (It was a good laugh for the kids)...and everyone else watching.
Being that my car is black, it is full of smears now.. hey at least I tried right?
My husband will be washing it tonight:)

Football Tournament

Austin's #1 QB

That's him rushing the ball

The Falcon's won all three games! Austin had some great plays and scored 4 touchdowns! I think it had a lot to do with playing at night under the lights in the rain that got him all pumped up.

Family Affair

I am trying to figure out what all the kids are going to be for Halloween. They want to be a "family theme." Ever since we went to the church carnival a few years ago and got treated like celebrities. We went as the Incrediables and the kids loved all the attention we got. People were asking to take pictures with us. It was like we worked at Disneyland. The kids had a blast, they would get into character and everything. My husband on the other hand was not happy. LOL It was hilarious! (I know, I know, I am a mean wife but it was worth a good laugh! I won a bet and he had to wear Mr. Incrediable spandex and all:) That and take a ballroom dance class with me which he was not happy about either. LOL So, the big question is what should we all be???
hmmmm...and I have to either bribe my husband or win another bet!

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER

Schools are distributing this book to
> children through the Scholastic Book Club.

BEWARE OF THESE BOOKS

>
> Two particular books are Conversations with God and
> Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D.
> Walsch.
They sound harmless enough by their titles alone.
> The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list
> for a number of weeks.
>
> The author purports to answer various questions asked by
> kids using the 'vo ice of God'. However,
> the 'answers' that he gives are not Bible-based and
> go against the very infallible word of God. For instance
> (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question 'Why
> am I a lesbian?' His answer is that she was 'born
> that way' because of genetics (just as you were born
> right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to
> go out and 'celebrate' her differences.
>
> Another girls poses the question: 'I am living with my
> boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because
> I am living in sin. Should I marry him?'
>
> His reply is, 'Who are you sinning against? Not me,
> because you have done nothing wrong.'
>
> Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin.
> His reply 'I do not forgive anyone because there
> is nothing to forgive. There is no such thing as right or
> wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone,
> do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another
> and this is wrong, because the rule is ''judge not
> lest ye be judged.' Not only are these books the false
> doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in
> error) the Word of God.

Flashback Friday

I was going through boxes while putting things in the attic and found a bunch of pictures of Justin and I. I also found some love letters we wrote to eachother. They are so funny to look back on. I was just 15 and he was 17. Here's a picture of us on one of our first dates. We went to Knotts Berry Farm. Now look at us 13 years later still crazy in love with a bunch of kids running around. ;) Who would of thought.
I am going to try and post "old pictures" on Friday's. Just for a good laugh. Have a good weekend everyone!
