Just Pretending

Today I am playing nurse to a demanding 7 year old. Faith is doing very good but loves the attention and wants me to wait on her hand and foot. Between cleaning, catching up on laundry, taking care of kids, and cooking etc... I figured I throw on my new little apron.

Monday night Faith and I went to an apron party. It was all 50's retro stuff. I love the charm of the 5o's housewife style. So fun! We got some cute matching mommy and me aprons. It's amazing how a sweet little apron to wear around the house makes you feel. Don't laugh! It's fun to pretend and the kids like it too. I just need some bright red lipstick and pearls.

Landen wanted to pose in the Thanksgiving one

I'm sure Justin will get a good laugh out of me in the kitchen cooking with my apron on. LOL

I'd better figure out what to make for dinner now....Have a good day!

She Still Wants 10 Kids

This hospital gown is so ugly. She wanted a pink one! She said, "So NOT fashion!"

She's ready to get these monster's out!

My tuff little girl is out of surgery and doing very well. She was a trooper and told the doctor and nurses she wasn't even scared! The only thing she was worried about was red dye. She wanted to make sure she could have cherry popsicles after surgery. When she woke up from being under Anesthesia, the first thing she said was, "Mommy I want ice cream." Now, mind you this is my daughter who wants 10 children. She cried for a little bit and said she doesn't like pain and didn't want 10 kids anymore. She was so cute and so funny she had me laughing when she woke up from surgery. The doctor even took out her loose tooth for her while she was under. She now hopes to have the tooth and tonsil fairy visit her tonight. She is home recovering and already eating ice cream and enjoying visitors. I have a feeling she will milk this for awhile. I don't blame her she has such sweet grandma's,aunties and friends that are bringing her flowers and presents. She just informed me that the pain isn't too bad and she thinks she's tuff enough to have 10 kids again. LOL

enjoying lots of ice cream!

Bye, Bye Tonsils

Today Faith had her pre-op. She's getting her tonsils and adenoids removed tomorrow morning. (Please keep her in prayer) She has sleep apnea and the biggest tonsils the doctor has ever seen! Poor child, I wonder how she even eats. Anyways, after all her pre-op stuff we headed to get our nails done. (Gotta look pretty in surgery right?)
She takes after her mommy, too many choices??????
It takes her forever to decide what color to pick......

She ended up picking out hot pink with bright blue and glitter! wooo hooo!

I'm Fabulous!

Wombattheinnsane

I know I'm a little late for the contest but still thought it would be fun to make a list.
My friend Kadi, (most of you already know her) just in case you don't www.wombattheinnsane.com
she is trying to promote self esteem. Here's what she has to say:

Too many women have self esteem issues. I have struggled with not feeling good enough, whether it be physically, mentally or whatever. We all struggle. However, it should not keep us from being able to look in the mirror and say, "I rock!"

What we are gonna do. We (that means you too) are going to do a blog post on why we love ourselves. Stop laughing, I'm serious. I want everyone to make a list of things that they like about themselves. If you have a daughter, show her your list, encourage her to do the same. Encourage your blog readers to do it. We need to promote self esteem. It is important to our emotional well being.

Ok, here I go....

Why I rock:
I'm a child of God
I have the best husband in the world!
I have the best kids in the world!
I have the best family and friends in the world!
I gave birth to 5 kids one being almost 10lbs
I make a good living right out of my own kitchen
I homeschool my kids and love it
I can multitask very well...doing it as we speak. (nursing, typing, helping Austin with math and watching a movie with Farrah begging for some of my water LOL)
I can type fast!
I take pictures of everything and journal all the time.
I can make garage sale furniture look fabulous:)
I can get ready in less than 5 minutes
I rocked almost 200lbs LOL

oh and I can blow a really big bubble:)

Austin has a pretty big head so he doesn't need help in the self esteem department but I will post Fabulous Faith's list tomorrow. I dare you to do the same.

Flashback Friday

Today is my grandpa's birthday so I thought it would be nice to post a picture of him. This is me at about a year old with my grandpa and great grandpa in the corner. I love my grandpa he is so sweet and would do anything for us. He has helped me move (every single time!) If something in my house is broken he will come and fix it, if Justin is at work. He will babysit and is the calmest man I know around a crying baby. He retired about the time I had Austin and has been so close to my kids while growing up. He is there for everything. Since I have become a mom we have grown even closer. I love listening to old stories he tells me and advice he gives to me. He was one of 5 kids too. He is a strong Christian man and a great example for me and my kids. We love you grandpa!!! Happy Birthday!

Austin made him a leather belt for his birthday.
Isn't my grandpa handsome :)
