My Little Servant

Today Austin received a special award at park day. He was called up and given the Ephesians 6:7 award. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people. His award was for displaying a servant's heart. Way to go Austin!

He is always asking what he can do to help others. He thinks of others before himself. I'm sure they watch him every park day be a little servant to me. He is always watching one kid for me while I run the other to the bathroom, or feeding this one, putting that one in the car seat etc. I don't know what I would do without him. He is my little slave child. He always helps and rarely complains. I thank God for him!

Then the water wars broke out just before we left. The kids were soaked!

What Mom? I'm just trying to have a little fun.

Promotion Night

We home school through Western Christian, which is the oldest christian school in California. They have been doing the home school program for 12 years now. They have over 300 families enrolled. They take care of most of the legal stuff, park days, Friday school, field trips, and much more. Last night they held a promotion night. Austin promoted to 4th grade and Faith is now a big 2nd grader!

The kids with their favorite teacher :)........I know nice rear end shot of my big back side. Not to smart to bend over and take a picture infront of mirror doors haha!

I'M GOING CRAZY

Today is our first official day of summer. We have no structure to our day and nothing planned. I like it that way. It's a break for me. I keep repeating myself, "Go play outside, read a book" etc....It's only 10:30 a.m. the kids are driving me nuts! Their bored and keep asking what are we going to do today????... I went to the market yesterday and stocked up on food and I think we are about out now. They keep asking for yogo's, pudding and fruit snacks after I just made them breakfast. If gas wasn't so expensive I would head to the beach. We are always going and going heaven for bid we have just one lazy summer day!

MUSIC TO MY EARS

Saturday, the boys went to baseball and the girls went to violin. Austin would rather play in his baseball game than play in the violin recital. I didn't blame him. Violin isn't his favorite. Although he hopes someday to play like Charlie Daniels. Playing the violin takes a lot of practice and discipline. I think it's good for the kids. The fact Austin is so good at it and lesson's are cheaper for two of them to take than just one, I told him he has to stay in it as part of his music for school. He would of course rather do drums or guitar. Even though the teacher is very strict she is also very good at what she does. The kids are learning to read music and play by ear. I think this class will help them in whatever instrument they want to play in the future.
Faith did very well for only playing for less than 6 months. She performed 5 songs in all.

Daddy Daughter Prom

My husband has been to more proms than anyone I know. In high school we attended four proms together and now this is his third prom with Faith. I'm sure he will be taking Farrah and the new baby too. He's such a good sport about it :) It's so cute to see him teach Faith how ladies are to be treated. When they left he opened the door for her (she got to sit in the front) and she reached across and opened his door. They had a fun night together with dinner, dancing and horse carriage rides. Faith looks forward to prom all year. She loves a special date with her daddy and of course getting all dressed up!

Getting her hair done.

gotta have glitter

calling daddy at work to see if he's as excited as she is

great grandpa helping put her "heels" on

They got home a little after 10pm. Faith was wide awake and had to show me how her and her daddy danced before she went to bed. She said, "Mommy you weren't kidding when you said daddy was a good dancer"

Cute Cankles

Now why can't my chubby legs and cankles look this cute in a mini skirt?

Keeping Kids Busy

Expensive toys do nothing for my kids. I have spent a lot of money on toys and they don't play with them for more than a week before they get bored with them. Toys can only be one thing, but a cardboard box is a mine of ideas. It let's their imagination run wild.
Boxes can be boats, cars, beds for dolls, TVs...the possibilities are endless! Just give them a cardboard box and some markers and see what their little minds can come up with. This box kept all three kids busy for over 3hours!
